Periodontology

Periodontology treats periodontal diseases which affect the way teeth are maintained in place. The most common disease is periodontitis, an inflammation of the gum. The gum starts bleeding, detaches itself from the tooth, pockets build up and grow while the tooth looses it’s stability.

The treatment depends on the general health state of the patient and the status of the periodontitis. The sooner the disease is detected, the easier will be it’s cure.
